In the episode 'Flavor19, Louisiana Purchase, Rocket Bakery and Fresh Food' (aired 2013-03-15), TheTVDB's overview says Rocket Bakery in St. John's serves baked goods such as sausage rolls and empanadas wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry. According to the bakery's Our Story page on rocketfood.ca, it opened in March 2011 in a heritage building on Water Street in downtown St. John's, started by three partners who had met in British Columbia, and in February 2021 it moved one block down Water Street to a bright blue building. The bakery's website lists the Water Street shop at 294 Water Street, next to Yellowbelly, open seven days a week, with dine-in, take-out, preorders, and delivery through DoorDash, Skip the Dishes and Uber Eats. It also lists two other locations, Mount Pearl and Churchill Square, the latter called Baby Rocket. The home page showed a 2026 copyright, a summer menu, and a page update dated 2026-05-20.
