Basemap tiles and styling © OpenStreetMap contributors, © CARTO. OpenStreetMap data is available under the Open Database License. Where the CARTO basemap is unavailable, the map falls back to OpenFreeMap's Positron style, also built on OpenStreetMap data. The same attribution is shown on every map on this site and is never hidden behind a toggle.
The shaded United States map on the home page is drawn at build time from us-atlas (states-10m TopoJSON, derived from US Census Bureau cartographic boundary files, public domain), projected with d3-geo and topojson-client. It ships as inline SVG — no map library and no tile request runs on the home page.

Both are self-hosted from this domain as Latin-subset WOFF2 files. No fonts, scripts or stylesheets are loaded from Google or any other third-party host.
Restaurant data
The 5,189 restaurant records covering 12 shows are researched and maintained by this site. Facts — addresses, air dates, season and episode numbers, open/closed status — are compiled from public sources: news coverage, official business listings, the businesses' own websites and social accounts, direct outreach, and public episode records. Every status carries the date it was checked and a link to the source it rests on; each restaurant page lists its full source set at the bottom.
Facts are not owned by anyone; wording is. Nothing on this site is adapted from another directory's or wiki's prose, table layout or page structure. Coordinates are geocoded from public address data. No Google Places data is rendered on any map on this site.
