About tvrestaurants.com

tvrestaurants.com maps restaurants and bars that have appeared on television — Bar Rescue, Best Thing I Ever Ate, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Food Paradise, Gordon Ramsay's 24 Hours to Hell and Back, Hotel Hell, Hotel Impossible, Kitchen Nightmares, Man v. Food, Mystery Diners, Project Bakeover, Ramsay's Best Restaurant, Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Restaurant Impossible: Last Call, Restaurant Makeover, Restaurant Stakeout, Restaurant Takeover, Restaurant: Impossible, The F Word: Britain's Best Local Restaurant, The Hotel Inspector, and You Gotta Eat Here!, with more added as their records clear research and QA — and covers what's happened to them since — across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Pick a show, see where it's been; pick a state, province or UK region, see everything that's aired there.

Right now that is 5,870 restaurants and bars across 75 states, provinces and UK regions, each with its own dated, sourced status.

What we do

For every restaurant we cover, we research and publish its current open/closed status, when it aired, what happened on the episode, and what's changed since — each dated and sourced, and re-checked on a rotating schedule (see our Editorial & Corrections Policy).

Who writes this

tvrestaurants.com is edited by Cal Marchetti, who sets the verification rules, makes the final call on disputed records and decides what is published. It is a small independent editorial operation — not a network, not a licensed syndicate, and not an aggregator reformatting someone else's directory. Every status, date, and source on this site passes through the same verification standard described in our Editorial & Corrections Policy before it's published, and every page carries the date it was last checked. Counts of what is open and closed, by show and by place, are on the statistics page.

What we don't do

We're not affiliated with any network, show, or personality (see our Disclaimer). We don't take reservations or process payments — where we link to a third-party booking or travel service, that's disclosed (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We don't use show logos, title-card artwork, or episode screenshots, and we don't put the map behind a login or a paywall.

How we make money

Advertising and, where relevant, affiliate commissions — see our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure. Ad revenue keeps this site running.
