Salt & Pepper was featured in “Great Taste, Surprising Place,” Season 38, Episode 13 of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network), which aired on 2024-01-26. The restaurant serves Mexican food at 6515 Bowness Rd NW in Calgary’s Bowness area. According to Savour Calgary (2024-10-08), the Solano family opened the first Salt & Pepper on Macleod Trail in 1988, and the Bowness restaurant is family-run by chef Silvio Solano and his son Alexo; the article singled out the mole sauce, a barbacoa dinner for two and a weekend churro French toast. Daily Hive (2023-09-07) reported that Guy Fieri was spotted filming in Bowness, and the restaurant’s own news page recorded his visit on 2025-03-08. Its website, checked 2026-10-19, listed tapas, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas and chiles rellenos, carried a 2026 copyright notice, gave daily hours and offered online ordering for pickup or delivery.
