Blossoms Guest House in York was the subject of the second-series Hotel Inspector episode 'Blossoms Guest House', which aired on Channel 5 on 2006-08-03 with Ruth Watson as the inspector. TheTVDB's episode listing describes it in a single line: Ruth visits a York hotel that is getting serious complaints. That listing is the only description of the episode's problems read for this entry, and it does not say what changed afterward.
Travel Weekly Asia's hotel listing for Blossoms York gives the address as 28 Clifton, York YO30 6AE and describes a 16-room property, built in 1837 and last renovated in 2007. An Airshop hotel listing for Blossoms York at the same address calls it a guest house with en-suite rooms, a full English breakfast served in the bar and lounge, and a location a few minutes' walk from York's city walls and the Minster. Neither listing is dated or mentions the television appearance, so the match between the show's guest house and the Clifton property rests on the shared name, the city and the type of property, not on a source that links the two directly.
