What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

Mountain View, a bed and breakfast in Port Talbot, south Wales, was the subject of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) episode “Mountain View, Port Talbot, Wales,” which aired 2015-05-07. The episode guide on TheTVDB describes owners Lisa and Eli, who had run the B&B for about ten years and hoped to turn it into the town's leading overnight stay. It says occupancy had dropped sharply and guest reviews were harsh, which put the business's future in doubt. Presenter Alex Polizzi suspected two causes, the couple's two large dogs and Eli's daily habit of feeding a flock of pigeons, and the guide says a clash of wills followed when she proposed a drastic fix, to the point that she nearly gave up on the project. Wikipedia's list of episodes gives the episode only a one-line entry with no property details.

For what has happened since, the only source found was a Google Places entry checked on 2026-10-19, which lists a business called Mountain View B&B at 7 Talcennau Road, Port Talbot, SA13 1SH, as operational. The entry matches the featured name, town and type of accommodation, but it carries no date for any recent activity, and no 2026 website, hours, booking page or review was found that would show the B&B taking guests now.

A Google Maps listing checked 2026-10-20 shows Mountain View B&B at 7 Talcennau Road in Port Talbot as not marked closed, with room rates offered through booking sites; the newest Google review is about a year old.
