What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?

On the 2014-05-23 episode "Pig BBQ Joint, Two Six - Ate, Taco Pica," host John Catucci had a bacon-explosion dish at Pig BBQ Joint in Victoria, British Columbia, according to TVmaze's episode summary. Each You Gotta Eat Here! episode on Food Network Canada visits three local restaurants, and this one paired the Victoria stop with a restaurant in Ottawa and another in Saint John, New Brunswick. Wanderlog's undated place page describes the restaurant as a casual Southern-style barbecue spot on Blanshard Street known for pulled pork and poutine, with sides such as coleslaw and macaroni, and beer. Google Maps lists the business at 1325 Blanshard Street, and that listing, checked on 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed; Wanderlog's page likewise shows every day as permanently closed. The sources reviewed gave no closing date.
