The 2014-05-23 episode "Fancy Franks, Soda Jerks, Pedal & Tap" of You Gotta Eat Here! included a stop at Soda Jerks in Edmonton, where host John Catucci took on the Macho Nacho Burger, according to TVmaze's episode summary. Each episode of the Food Network Canada series visits three local restaurants, and this one also featured Fancy Franks in Toronto and Pedal & Tap in Kimberley, British Columbia. Daily Hive's 2022-03-31 roundup of oversized Edmonton menu items did not include it, and Mountain View Today's 2022 list of retro Alberta diners named Route 99 Diner as its Edmonton entry instead.
A Foursquare listing for a Soda Jerks burger joint in St. Albert, Alberta, checked 2026-10-19, carries a Now Closed label; its visitor tips are dated from June 2013 to October 2014, and one dated August 14, 2013 praises the Yellowhead location. The Gateway said on 2015-04-01 that the burgers at Soda Jerks are made great by the plethora of toppings, and described a 1950s-diner theme, a wide range of sodas and deep-fried pickles. The Foursquare page gives no street address.
