What happened after The Hotel Inspector?
The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) episode "Horse and Hound Country Inn; Tenison Towers Guest House" aired June 19, 2018, the first time host Alex Polizzi covered two hotels in a single episode. According to TheTVDB's episode entry, Tenison Towers Guest House in Cambridge had an owner who was reluctant to modernize. The entry gives no street address or further detail about the guest house, and the episode's other property, the Horse and Hound Country Inn in the Scottish Borders, has its own record.
The trail since then is thin. A Kayak hotel page whose web address still reads Cambridge City Tenison Towers, rendered on October 19, 2026, now shows a property called The Norna at 148 Tenison Road, Cambridge CB1 2DP, with rates from 66 US dollars a night, check-in after 3 p.m. and checkout before 11 a.m. Trip.com lists The Norna at the same address as a nine-room property about 300 meters from Cambridge station, with 273 verified reviews, and describes it as managed by a professional host. Neither page gives review dates or a former name, and neither mentions the Hotel Inspector. A Google Maps search for Tenison Towers Guest House, run on October 19, 2026, returned The Norna at 148 Tenison Road as its top match and marked it operational, while giving a different name from the featured one.
No source checked says who owned Tenison Towers in 2018, who owns The Norna now, or when the name changed.
A Trip.com listing titled Cambridge City Tenison Towers gives the address as 148 Tenison Rd and carries a guest review dated October 14, 2024, which shows the Tenison Towers name still in use at that address then. Kayak's page filed under the Tenison Towers name, rendered 2026-10-19, now shows The Norna at 148 Tenison Road, CB1 2DP. Trip.com lists The Norna as a nine-room property managed by a professional host, with 273 verified reviews and no review dates.
