What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?

The Season 2 episode "The American Cheesesteak, Soulyve, Murrays Sandwich Emporium," which aired 2013-03-22, showed host John Catucci at The American Cheesesteak Co. in Vancouver, where chef Anthony Sedlak makes a Philly cheesesteak with high-quality beef and his own condiment combinations, according to TheTVDB's episode overview. The Georgia Straight reported on 2011-11-05 that the restaurant, at 781 Davie Street, had recently opened with a focus on Philly cheesesteaks only. It listed three traditional versions made with shaved prime rib, six specialty versions, hand-cut fries, milkshakes and house-made ice cream sandwiches, and described an independent shop with indoor and outdoor seating and an open kitchen. A Google Maps listing checked on 2026-10-19 for the company's Metrotown branch in Burnaby, at 4700 Kingsway, is marked permanently closed.

Scout Magazine, in an article dated 2011-10-24, placed the restaurant at 781 Davie Street at Howe, and a Burpple review dated 2013-09-23 gives the same address. A REALTYLINK business-for-sale listing for 775 & 781 Davie Street, undated, describes a Japanese-Korean restaurant, Rori Momo, operating since 2018 at the northeast corner of Howe and Davie Streets. A Google Maps address search checked 2026-10-20 for 781 Davie Street returned the address with no business listed.
