Art-Is-In Bakery appeared on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in the episode "Creative Creations," which aired 2019-12-27. Food Network's restaurant page lists the Kronut, a fried, doughnut-style pastry made from croissant dough, filled with house-made pistachio cream and topped with raspberry sauce, along with a Spaghetti Pizza. According to Wikipedia's entry on the bakery, Kevin and Stephanie Mathieson founded it in 2011 in Ottawa's Little Italy neighborhood, and the entry calls the pastry the O-Towner. The bakery's website, as of October 2026, listed its address as 250 City Centre Ave, Unit 112, weekly hours running from Monday through a Sunday brunch service, weekend farmers market booths at Westboro and Lansdowne, a Shopify store for pre-orders and a catering menu file labeled 2026. Google's listing showed the business as operational in October 2026.
Art-Is-In Bakery, in Ottawa's Little Italy neighbourhood, was one of three stops in the You Gotta Eat Here! episode "Art-is-in Bakery, Sloppy Hoggs Roed Hus, Salt Shaker Deli" (S3E20, Food Network Canada, aired 2014-06-13). TheTVDB's episode description says host John Catucci tried a spicy pickle melt, while Wikipedia's article on the bakery says he highlighted its duck confit BLT. Wikipedia reports that Kevin and Stephanie Mathieson founded the bakery in 2011 at 112-250 City Centre Avenue, that it has accepted only debit and credit cards since 2019, that Guy Fieri called its croissant-dough doughnut, the O-Towner, a destination doughnut on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2019, and that a second, takeout-focused location in the Byward Market was reported in January 2020, shortly before pandemic lockdowns began.
