Jeremy Woerner and Pat McDonough opened the first Blue Door Pub in St. Paul in September 2008, per Wikipedia citing a 2019 Star Tribune profile; the Como Avenue location, on the edge of the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, opened later as the chain expanded. Man v. Food featured the Blucy during the show's Minneapolis stop, which aired May 28, 2018. The original Selby Avenue location in St. Paul did not reopen after a pandemic-era closure; Eater and CBS News Minnesota reported on April 20, 2021 that the owners confirmed it would not return.
