What the source shows: A SkipTheDishes ordering page for First Class Delites at 1156 Weston Road (2026 footer, fetched 2026-10-19) shows a live Caribbean menu matching the dishes blogTO described in 2011, YellowPages.ca and Google Places also show the business at that address, and blogTO's Weston Road feature ties the name to Restaurant Makeover.

What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

First Class Delite was a small Caribbean-style restaurant, according to Rotten Tomatoes' season listing for Restaurant Makeover, a series on Food Network Canada and HGTV Canada. The listing titles the episode First Class Delights and gives its air date as December 12, 2005, as the seventh episode of the second season; the restaurant's own spelling is Delites. The listing's one-line description is the only account of the episode found, so the problems shown on screen, the changes to the menu, decor, staffing or name, and the relaunch are not documented in the sources read. The same listing also attaches the First Class Delite description to the Montana Roadhouse episode, which appears to be a data entry error.

The series paired a chef with a designer to rebuild a restaurant on a small budget and a tight schedule, and TVmaze's listing for the show says the owners put up half of the funding. Rotten Tomatoes names six chefs among the season's hosts, Brad Long, Rene Chauvin, Lynn Crawford, Massimo Capra, Corbin Tomaszeski and David Adjey, but nothing read says which of them or which designer worked on this episode.

Google Places lists a business named First Class Delites at 1156 Weston Road in the York district of Toronto, postcode M6M 4P4, and showed it as operational when checked on October 19, 2026. The restaurant's old web address, firstclassdelites.com, redirected on that date to the home page of the SkipTheDishes delivery marketplace rather than to a page about the restaurant. Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants marks the restaurant as still open, with no note and no date.

A blogTO street guide to Weston Road, whose web address carries an August 2011 date, said First Class Delites had been featured on Restaurant Makeover a few years earlier and that its menu had stayed largely the same, with jerk chicken, oxtail and curry goat on a large wall-mounted menu. A SkipTheDishes page for First Class Delites at 1156 Weston Road, checked on 2026-10-19, offers online ordering from a Caribbean menu that includes jerk, curry, stew and fried chicken dinners, oxtail, curry goat and roti. A YellowPages.ca listing checked the same day gives the same address and the postcode M6M 4P4.
