What happened after Restaurant Makeover?

Saigon Flower Restaurant, in the West Queen West area of Toronto according to Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants, was the tenth episode of Restaurant Makeover's third season and first aired on 2006-12-04. Rotten Tomatoes' episode guide describes the episode as a new menu and design for a Vietnamese restaurant. Wikipedia's list names Corbin Tomaszeski as the chef and Jessica Cotton as the designer.

Those pages are the fullest account of the episode found. The sources reviewed do not describe what the restaurant looked like before the work, which problems the episode focused on, the owners, the budget, the dishes that were added or dropped, or how the relaunch went, and nothing beyond them is supplied here. According to Wikipedia's article on the series, owners' funds were matched up to $20,000 in the early seasons and up to $15,000 later, and most featured restaurants were in the Greater Toronto Area.

On the later history, Wikipedia's list of renovated restaurants marks Saigon Flower Restaurant as still open, an entry that carries no date. A Google Places listing for Saigon Flower Restaurant at 1138 Queen St W, Toronto, read on 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed. Wanderlog's page for the same name and address likewise shows the restaurant as permanently closed for every day of the week; the page carries no closing date and shows only a 2025 copyright footer. The two listings are more recent than the show list's undated entry, so they take precedence. The street address matches the West Queen West location Wikipedia gives. The Places listing carries no opening or closing date, and none of the pages read says when the restaurant stopped serving or who operated it in 2006. A web search on 2026-10-19 pairing the name, the address and the word closed returned closure roundups for other Toronto restaurants and no report about this one.
