What happened after Restaurant Makeover?
Restaurant Makeover (HGTV Canada / Food Network Canada) featured Mighty Mike's, a Toronto restaurant, in an episode that aired on 2008-04-28. The Rotten Tomatoes episode description says the owner, named there as Hasan, was under strain personally and professionally, and that floor manager Kassandra stepped in to help improve the business. Wikipedia's Restaurant Makeover table credits chef Lynn Crawford and designer Jonathan Furlong with the episode, and it lists the post-makeover name as The Olive Branch, with Mighty Mike's as the original name. The episode is the 19th of 26 in the season 4 listing on Rotten Tomatoes.
No source that was found describes the restaurant's menu, decor or staffing before or after the rescue, or the relaunch. Beyond the name change recorded in Wikipedia's table, nothing read shows what the chef and designer changed.
For the years since, Wikipedia's table marks The Olive Branch as still open but gives no date, address or source. A Google Places lookup for Olive Branch returned a kosher market named Olive Branch at 1 Promenade Circle in Thornhill, Ontario. Its website, checked on 2026-10-19, lists weekday hours and online orders and describes the business as an independent kosher market. That is a different town and a different kind of business from a Toronto restaurant, and the part of the site that was read does not mention Mighty Mike's, the television show or a restaurant, so it is not treated as the featured restaurant and its address and website are not used here. A web search for the two restaurant names together returned only unrelated pages.
Wikipedia's table is a lead rather than a dated source, so the later history of the restaurant remains undocumented here.
City of Toronto business licence records list The Olive Branch Resto Bar, operated by 2010383 Ontario Inc at 1546 Bloor Street West, with licences that ended on 2014-10-28, and a restaurant called Olive Branch under a different company at 1546-1548 Bloor Street West from 2014-03-26 until that licence was cancelled on 2016-04-18. According to the same records, a restaurant called Toronto Style has been licensed at the address since 2016-04-18. The Olive Branch is the post-makeover name Wikipedia gives for Mighty Mike's.
