What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited the Blow Fly Inn in Gulfport for the 'Neighborhood Favorites' episode (S5E7), which aired 2009-01-19. The show featured the roadhouse's fried seafood platters at its Washington Avenue location. The restaurant opened in 1955 and became a longtime Gulfport fixture, according to WLOX. Jonathan Allen purchased the business and reopened it as Blow Fly Bar and Grill in February 2023, telling WLOX he wanted to be 'the force for good' the restaurant needed to survive. According to WLOX, the restaurant closed effective immediately on 2026-05-21. Claw Daddy's announced on 2026-06-13, according to WLOX, that it had purchased the former Blow Fly property in Gulfport. The restaurant's former website domain, blowflygulfport.com, now displays a domain-for-sale parking page rather than restaurant content.
