What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
Casa Manila was the second stop in the Season 5 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! titled "Low & Slow, Casa Manila, Charlie the Butcher," which aired 2016-03-11. According to TVmaze's episode listing, host John Catucci discovered the international flavors of Philippine cooking at the Toronto restaurant. Casa Manila's website says Mila Nabor-Cuachon opened the dining room in December 2010 and has cooked there every day since, and describes the business as family-run since 2010. blogTO's 2022 article on the Danforth branch called the York Mills restaurant its sister location and said the Danforth space at 508 Danforth Avenue would be smaller, with a rotating daily menu. Casa Manila's website says that at its 15th anniversary in March 2026 the business "consolidated to a single location at 508 Danforth Ave." In October 2026 the site listed weekend hours of 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, online ordering and tray catering.
