What happened after Mystery Diners?
In the Mystery Diners (Food Network) episode "Employee of the Month" (season 4, episode 4; aired August 7, 2013), owner Vic contacted the crew about a breakdown in teamwork at his family-owned Colombo's Italian Steakhouse in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles, which he traced to a competitive employee-of-the-month program. Undercover investigators Grant and Shelby found that a waitress who had won the title four times had been badmouthing coworkers and discarding a fellow server's printed food-order tickets. After she was seen insulting a customer, Vic confronted her; he gave her a second chance on the condition that she repay him $1,000, and he discontinued the employee-of-the-month program in favor of rewarding staff as a group.
