What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Crown Bar in Tacoma, Washington for the 2013-03-04 episode "Hittin' the Grill," where the show sampled the bar's grilled pub fare. Crown Bar operated as a neighborhood tavern at 2705 6th Avenue, along Tacoma's 6th Avenue corridor, a stretch known for bars and restaurants. A public restaurant-locator listing at dinersdriveinsdiveslocations.com, last updated 2025-08-08, marks Crown Bar as permanently closed, though the page does not give an exact closure date. No independent news coverage of the closure was located, and the current status of the storefront, including whether a new business has taken the space, is unknown from available sources. Public listings gave the bar's phone number as (253) 272-4177 before the closure, and a fan-run television-locations database still lists the address under the show's sixteenth-season episode guide.
