What happened after Food Paradise?

Food Paradise's 2012 'Drive Thru Paradise' episode featured Daiquiri Bay Cafe's frozen daiquiris and bar-and-grill menu. Daiquiri Bay Cafe operates as a bar and grill on Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, Louisiana, a New Orleans suburb, known for specialty drinks such as its "Tropical Island" and "Jungle Juice" combinations. According to a Google Places listing, the business remains operational. Restaurant Guru's listing for the business, updated 2026-08-14, lists current daily hours of 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. at the same address. The business's Facebook page could not be accessed during this check due to access restrictions. Together, the Google Places listing and Restaurant Guru's 2026-updated hours listing indicate the restaurant continues to operate at its Metairie location, featured on the show as DBC Bar & Grill.
