What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured Fair Oaks Pharmacy & Soda Fountain's old-fashioned counter service, including ice cream floats, malts, and other soda-fountain classics served alongside the working pharmacy. The business is a combined pharmacy and soda fountain at 1526 Mission Street in South Pasadena, California, and its website, fairoakspharmacy.net, describes it as "A South Pasadena Landmark Since 1915." Yelp's listing for the business, marked "Updated September 2026" and carrying more than 1,500 photos and over 900 reviews, lists it as a drugstore and restaurant at that same Mission Street address.
According to fairoakspharmacy.net, checked 2026-09-08, the soda fountain and gift store post hours of 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, while the pharmacy counter posts separate weekday and Saturday hours, with both sections closed Sundays. The Los Angeles Conservancy also lists the building among the region's historic places, consistent with the vintage soda-fountain setting shown on the episode.
