What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The 'Best Meal Deal' episode featured FIG, the restaurant inside the Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica, built around seasonal Southern California cuisine sourced from local farmers markets. The restaurant operates as the hotel's in-house dining room at 101 Wilshire Boulevard, an address confirmed through the hotel's own website and Santa Monica's tourism site rather than the original location record, which returned no match. Yelp's listing for FIG, updated in September 2026, shows more than 1,700 photos and 1,386 reviews and does not mark the business closed.
The Fairmont's own site continues to list FIG among its current dining venues, describing it as a neighborhood bistro. The U.S. Census geocoder returned no address match for 101 Wilshire Boulevard after two attempts, so coordinates are left pending rather than estimated.
