What the source shows: Restaurant Online and HotelOwner both reported on 2022-07-05 that the Coaching Inn Group bought Forest Park Hotel, and the group's own review site lists it as The Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn in March 2024.

What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) episode "Forest Park" aired July 25, 2017. According to TheTVDB's episode entry, Forest Park Hotel is a 43-bedroom former vicarage set in woodland in Brockenhurst, convenient for visitors to the New Forest. Its owner, local builder Sean Perry, had owned it for four years and asked host Alex Polizzi for help. The entry describes online reviews as very mixed, says he had spent a large sum on a refurbishment program, and notes that the hotel had gone through many managers.

On July 5, 2022, Restaurant Online reported that The Coaching Inn Group, part of RedCat Pub Company, had bought Forest Park Hotel in Brockenhurst. The article gives the hotel as having 40 rooms, says it had recently been refurbished, names the property adviser Savills as handling the sale, and does not disclose the price. HotelOwner carried a report of the same purchase, also dated July 5, 2022, naming the Coaching Inn Group, a RedCat subsidiary, as the buyer. Neither article names the seller.

A review page on the Coaching Inn Group's CoachingRep site, published March 19, 2024, refers to the property as The Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn at Rhinefield Road, Brockenhurst SO42 7ZG, filed under the group's own property code. Hotels.com lists Forest Park Hotel on the same road with a bar and describes it as within a 10-minute drive of New Forest National Park; that page shows no review dates for the hotel. No source dated 2025 or 2026 was found for the hotel's operations.
