What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Jimtown Store, a general store and deli on Highway 128 in the Alexander Valley near Healdsburg, for the April 11, 2011 episode 'Porktastic' (S11E13), spotlighting the store's deli sandwiches and picnic fare. KTVU reported on December 5, 2019 that owner Carrie Brown would close the store on December 30, 2019, saying three years of wildfires had pushed it over the edge. Checked 2026-09-08, the jimtown.com domain, carrying the same distinctive 'Jimtown' name, now belongs to Jimtown and Then Sum, a cafe and bakery describing itself as an 'Asian Fusion' concept, operating at 6706 California 128, Healdsburg, CA 95448, with online ordering, catering, a rewards program, and reviews describing dim sum, banh mi, and dumplings.
The current site lists no connection to the original general-store business or its ownership. The Healdsburg Tribune reported in March 2024 that Michelle Wood had bought the Jimtown Store property, so Jimtown and Then Sum, which opened there in June 2025, is a different business in the old store's building rather than a continuation of the original store.
