What Happened to Josh's Deli After Food Paradise? (Surfside, FL)

Food Paradise, Season 17 Surfside, Florida

Current status

Closed

As of October 2026, Josh's Deli has closed — confirmed via Google, September 7, 2026.

What the source shows: Google's listing shows Josh's Deli as permanently closed in a query run on 2026-09-07, and while the business's own website (site-checked 2026-09-08) still loads with 2024-dated content, that content pre-dates and does not override the more recent closure status. What happened after Food Paradise?

"Local Lowdown" (S17E3) featured Josh's Deli, a Jewish deli and bakery at 9517 Harding Ave in Surfside, FL, known for scratch-made pastries and a full deli and breakfast menu. The business's own website, joshsdeli.com, carries a 2024 copyright and markets modern twists on classic deli recipes, listing items such as Shabbat and holiday specials, according to Josh's Deli's website. That page and its online ordering widget remained reachable in a 2026-09-08 site check, but the content itself dates to 2024 and predates a more recent status change.

Google's listing marked Josh's Deli permanently closed as of 2026-09-07, and Miami New Times' business directory listing for the Surfside location also marks it as closed, according to Miami New Times. Some third-party ordering platforms continued to display the location as active, but no current, dated source was found showing the deli still operating.
