What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
The Lancaster Smokehouse in Kitchener was part of the April 11, 2014 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada); Rotten Tomatoes' season-three listing names smoked meats for the episode. According to Wikipedia, the Southern-style barbecue restaurant at 574 Lancaster St. W. opened in 2011, when the owners of the Waterloo barbecue restaurant Hog Tails bought a tavern in a building dating to the 1840s and renamed it. Wikipedia also reports that the show segment was recorded in 2013 and aired in 2014, that the dining area seats about 600, and that the menu includes Texas short ribs, Nashville hot chicken, po' boys, and brisket. In October 2026 the restaurant's website showed a 2026 copyright, a phone number, an Order Online button, reservation and catering links, and Saturday hours of 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
