What happened after You Gotta Eat Here!?
Lisa Marie was the Toronto brunch stop in the Season 4 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! titled "Lisa Marie, The Burner Restaurant and Launge, Katie's Restaurant & Bar," which aired 2015-05-01. TVmaze's summary says host John Catucci had brunch there, and TheTVDB's description calls it a hot brunch spot in Toronto. BlogTO described the Queen Street West restaurant, run by chef Matt Basile of Fidel Gastro, as known for stacks of pancakes and large burgers. BlogTO reported in April 2019 that Basile announced the restaurant would close on April 14, six years after it opened, and that it would serve only brunch from April 8. Basile was quoted saying the time had come to pivot that energy into different places. A Google Maps listing for the address at 638 Queen Street West marks Lisa Marie permanently closed (Google Maps, checked 2026-10-19).
