What happened after Man v. Food?
MofonGO Puerto Rican & American Restaurant was featured in the same February 22, 2022 Connecticut episode of Man v. Food. The Hartford Courant reported at the time that the show's crew filmed at the MofonGo location in New Britain, and the Bristol Press separately named the same New Britain stop. The restaurant, whose menu centers on mofongo (mashed plantains with garlic and pork cracklings), slow-roasted pernil, and rice-bowl combinations, describes itself on its own website as having grown from a single Hartford location into four Connecticut restaurants.
The New Britain address named in that 2021 coverage, 260 Main St, is still listed as an active MofonGo location on the chain's official site, whose 2026 copyright notice accompanies a current tally of more than 6,600 aggregate reviews and a 4.7-star average across all four locations. A separate MofonGo remains open at 1400 Park St in Hartford proper.
