According to TVmaze, season 1, episode 13 of You Gotta Eat Here!, aired 2012-08-12, followed host John Catucci as he took on a one-pound burger at Mrs. Riches in Nanaimo, British Columbia, built with ham, cheese, bacon and a fried egg. Tourism Nanaimo's listing, posted 2021-02-11, describes a family restaurant with a wide menu of dishes from around the world, best known for the K2 Mountain Burger, a two-pound challenge burger; guests who finish it with fries within 30 minutes eat free and earn a place on the wall of fame. The restaurant's own website lists the address as 199 Fraser Street in downtown Nanaimo and mentions a Food Network appearance. In October 2026 that website listed hours of 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday through Thursday and until 9:00 PM Friday and Saturday, with Sunday and Monday closed, and offered an online-order button.
