What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The episode "Small Plates, Big Taste" spotlighted NoMad's small-plates approach to modern American fine dining, served inside the NoMad Hotel at 1170 Broadway in Manhattan's NoMad neighborhood. The restaurant opened under chef Daniel Humm and the Make It Nice hospitality group, building a reputation on refined, shareable plates in a Beaux-Arts hotel dining room. Humm and Make It Nice ended their partnership with the property's then-owner, Sydell Group, in January 2020, according to Wine Spectator. According to Yelp, a listing updated 2026-09 marks The NoMad Restaurant permanently closed. The 1170 Broadway property now operates as The Ned NoMad, a hotel and members' club under Soho House; its website, checked 2026-09-08, no longer lists a restaurant operating under the NoMad name.
