Vij's Rangoli in Vancouver was one of three restaurants in the April 11, 2014 episode of You Gotta Eat Here! (Food Network Canada); Rotten Tomatoes' season-three listing describes comfort curries for the episode. Vancouver Foodster, in a post dated November 7, 2009, described Rangoli at 1488 West 11th Avenue as the more casual restaurant run next door to Vij's, with an open kitchen and a market side selling packaged, frozen, and refrigerated Indian dishes. According to Wikipedia's article on Vikram Vij, Rangoli opened in 2004, a decade after Vij's opened in 1994. The same article reports that the Rangoli location on South Granville closed in May 2020, citing the economic effects of COVID-19, and that its menu was consolidated with Vij's on Cambie Street. The article adds that Rangoli-branded packaged curries are sold in grocery stores across Canada.
