On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode 'Eastern Southern' (aired 2022-09-30), the show featured Rose Villa Southern Table & Bar, a Southern-style restaurant and whiskey bar set in a historic building in Ormond Beach, Florida. The restaurant operated at 43 W. Granada Boulevard and built a following around its Southern comfort menu and its 'Whiskey at the Rose' bar program. According to News 6 (clickorlando.com), the restaurant abruptly closed on 2026-08-28, with a sign on the door reading 'closed due to unforeseen circumstances' and several employees saying they had not been paid in four to five weeks.

The Observer Local News reported on 2026-09-01 that the closure came amid the same wage claims and that the building had been boarded up. Property owner Bill Jones, who does not operate the restaurant, told News 6 he was beginning a building refresh, though no reopening date was reported. The restaurant's website remained online and still showed a 2026 copyright and an active online-ordering link as of the September 2026 check, despite the reported closure.
