What happened after Best Thing I Ever Ate?
The episode featured Rye, a restaurant and bar in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York, at 247 South 1st Street. According to a Yelp listing updated August 2026, with 227 photos and 567 reviews on file, the page marked the business as permanently closed and displayed a note about a new menu of unclear relevance, possibly left over from before the closure. A direct check of the restaurant's own domain, ryerestaurant.com, on 2026-09-08 returned no page content at all, consistent with an inactive business. The address originally returned by the location lookup for this record pointed to a same-named restaurant in Elmira, New York, roughly 200 miles away, and was not used; the Williamsburg, Brooklyn address was located separately and confirmed against Census geocoding data.
