What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode 'Top-Notch Toppings' (aired 2023-07-28), Guy Fieri visited South End, a New American restaurant on Abbot Kinney Boulevard, a well-known dining and shopping corridor in the Venice neighborhood of Los Angeles. Google Places lists South End's business status as permanently closed. A September 2026 check of the restaurant's former web address, southendla.com, found the domain now hosting an unrelated Thai-language online gambling site carrying a 2026 copyright notice, with no trace of the restaurant's original menu, branding, or contact information remaining anywhere on the page. The combination of the Google Places closure status and the fully repurposed domain indicates South End is no longer operating at its Abbot Kinney Boulevard address, and the search for this record turned up no successor business, new ownership announcement, or relocation notice tied to the same name.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
