What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Coach and Horses is a pub with rooms in the village of South Perrott, Dorset. It featured in the first episode of Series 16 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), which aired on 2021-06-10; show lists spell the village "South Perrot". According to TheTVDB's episode page, Alex Polizzi visited an eight-room hotel whose trade had veered off track, run by owners James and Yvonne, who were dealing with low occupancy and needed to get business moving in the right direction. Wikipedia's list of Hotel Inspector episodes adds that it was the only pub in the village and that the pair were struggling to attract business despite that.

What has happened since: Pub Wiki's index of South Perrott, Misterton, lists a Coach & Horses and a Bakers Arms for the village, with a page last updated on 2024-10-02. The Coach & Horses entry gives only the village and county, no street address, and records landlords up to 1915, with no notes on recent years. A dnata Travel listing describes the Coach And Horses as a quiet country inn in the village with three new rooms from November 2012 and a new bar due by Easter 2013, and mentions a landing wallpapered in May 2014. It shows one customer review. Those entries predate the 2021 episode by years.

Trip.com's listing for the Parrett Hotel at South Perrott, Dorset DT8 3HS keeps a web address ending in the-coach-and-horses-inn and shows guest reviews dated from March 2024 to 10 August 2026. A Dogfriendly.co.uk listing, last updated on 12 January 2023, describes the Parrett Hotel as family-run accommodation in South Perrott with a bar, a restaurant and log fires. Dinogo's page for the hotel quotes guest reviews that mention staff named Yvonne and James, the first names TheTVDB gives for the owners in the Channel 5 episode. Stayforlong's page for the Parrett Hotel also carries the Coach and Horses web address and lists six guest rooms.
