What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5) visited Atlantic House in Bude, Cornwall, in the episode “Atlantic House, Bude,” which aired 2016-07-13. Wikipedia's list of episodes describes Alex Polizzi helping a shy hotelier with a reputation for hiding from his guests. The Post, in an article dated 2016-04-19, named the owner as Trevor Rounding and reported that, when Polizzi arrived, he and his staff were about to paint the exterior, which she questioned. It reported that she advised and pushed him, set him tasks, had the sun room repainted, restyled three bedrooms herself to leave him a template, and restyled the dining room to fit the La Bouche Creole dining experience, with the aim of attracting walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. A Spring Event Day on April 12 showcased the changes; Rounding told The Post it went very well, and that he needed to raise his game before a new Premier Inn opened in Bude the following year.

TVmaze lists a follow-up in The Hotel Inspector Returns, series 5 episode 2, which aired 2017-09-12, in which Polizzi returns to check whether Trevor had followed her advice to be more visible and whether business had picked up; the listing gives no outcome.

Kayak's page for Atlantic House Hotel, rendered on 2026-10-18, gives the address as 17-18 Summerleaze Crescent, EX23 8HJ, and describes 15 guest rooms, a cooked breakfast, an on-site restaurant called Sea Fever, and rates from $157 for a search for late October 2026. It shows 671 reviews, a score of 8.4, and 621 reviews from Booking.com. The page does not name the owner or say whether Rounding still runs the hotel.
