What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

Bodkin House, a former coaching inn at Petty France in Badminton, Gloucestershire, was visited by Alex Polizzi in the eighth episode of series 8 of The Hotel Inspector (Channel 5), first aired on 2011-11-21. Wikipedia's episode list, read on 2026-10-19, titles it "Bodkin House B&B" and says owner Dom and his wife Eileen asked Alex for help with the property. The excerpt of the list read for this entry ends after that description, and no page read sets out the problems shown in the episode or the changes made afterwards.

Google Places lists Bodkin House at The Stable Yard, Petty France, Badminton, GL9 1EG, and shows the business as operational at the time of the check on 2026-10-19. A website at bodkin-house-hotel.co.uk loaded the same day under the title "Bodkin House Hotel – Traditional Country Inn", with no dated content found in an automated check. An undated listing on the Soglos directory describes a compact, heritage-style hotel with its own bar and restaurant near the Badminton estate and gives the postcode as GL9 1AF, which differs from the Places postcode. Neither the directory nor the website check names the current owners.

One web search for the hotel and 2026 returned booking-site and venue-directory listings (Kayak, Hotels.com, Expedia, Soglos and meeting-venue directories). Only the Soglos page was read, and it carries no date. A direct read of the hotel's own pages was blocked by the site's access rules, so no page text from the hotel itself was available beyond the title.
