Rotten Tomatoes' season-three listing for that episode names pork chops with black-eyed pea ragout, alongside Jam Cafe in Victoria and Gasthof Old Bavarian Haus. BlogTO's September 2019 report on the restaurant's closing described it as having been in business for nearly a decade and said its last service would be October 31, citing an Instagram post from the owners. A Google Maps listing for The Gabardine at 372 Bay St., checked on 2026-10-19, is marked permanently closed. BlogTO's article gave no street address or founding year, so the Bay Street address comes from the Google Maps listing.
