What the source shows: An Expedia guest review dated 2023-08-23 said the owner at 3 Crescent Gardens had only taken over five weeks earlier, and the same Expedia listing number (h11899088), which appears under the name Lamppost Villa on Lastminute, is now titled OYO No 3, with guest reviews through 2025-11-09.

What happened after The Hotel Inspector?

The Lamp Post Villa is described as an eight-room bed and breakfast in the center of Bath, run by Italian-born first-time hotelier Carmine, who leased the property about three months before filming, according to TVmaze's listing for the Channel 5 episode (series 17, episode 5, aired 2022-07-14). TVmaze's listing says years of neglect had left the building in poor shape, that the kitchen and breakfast area were in such condition that he could not serve breakfast, and that poor reviews had cut occupancy. It adds that the B&B was ranked lowest among Bath B&Bs on Tripadvisor, that he was relying on savings, and that he had three years to raise the money to buy the lease outright. The Wikipedia list of Hotel Inspector episodes gives the same episode and describes the B&B as being in the center of the historic spa city.
