What happened after Man v. Food?

Man v. Food (Travel Channel) featured The Old Salty Dog's menu in its Sarasota, Florida segment that aired 2009-09-16. The Old Salty Dog is a casual waterfront restaurant on Ken Thompson Parkway on City Island in Sarasota. A check of the restaurant's own website, theoldsaltydog.com, on 2026-09-08 returned a normal HTTP 200 response with a server last-modified date of the same day, 2026-09-08, though the page's text could not be cleanly extracted during the check. Google Places, checked 2026-09-07, lists the Ken Thompson Parkway address as operational.

No dated news coverage of a closure, relocation, or ownership change was found in the evidence gathered for this record. Its current hours and menu were not independently confirmed from readable page text during this check, since the extracted content returned only encoded, unreadable data.
