What happened after Restaurant Makeover?
The Richmond Rogue was a Toronto pub featured in the Restaurant Makeover episode aired on 2007-12-10. The series paired a chef with a designer to overhaul a restaurant on a limited budget, with the owner's funds matched by the production. According to Rotten Tomatoes' synopsis, the owner, Todd, had bought the pub five years earlier, had already lost a business partner and had seen a smoking ban take away his patio, and the synopsis frames the pub's troubles as needing an exorcism. TV Guide's season listing describes the venue as a haunted pub that designer Meredith Heron turned into a restaurant. Her work, as TV Guide describes it, included painting the brick, while the build crew's Igor dealt with problems with the floor and the table bases. Chefs Lynn Crawford and Susur Lee reworked the food and added a brunch menu. The sources read give no budget figure and no account of the relaunch.
