What happened after Food Paradise?

The episode (S14E10, 'Dockside Dining') featured West Shore Cafe & Inn, a lakeside restaurant and boutique inn on the west shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California, that combined dockside dining with lake-view rooms. According to the business's own website (westshorecafe.com), checked 2026-09-08, renovations are underway and the property is being reimagined primarily as an amenity for Homewood Mountain and Lake Club homeowners and their guests, with the cafe not currently taking reservations for daily dining or weddings. The site says the property will welcome the public only at select future events.

Google's listing, checked the same day, marks West Shore Cafe at 5160 W Lake Blvd as permanently closed. Tahoe-area coverage on Tahoetopia has referenced a limited public opening for a holiday weekend, but the operator's own site, checked 2026-09-08, describes no return to regular public dining.
