What happened after Food Paradise?
The episode featured A.J.'s Seafood & Oyster Bar's fresh Gulf oysters and harbor-view seafood plates, served on a multi-level deck overlooking Destin Harbor's fishing fleet. A.J.'s is part of a small family of related "AJ's" restaurants in the Destin area, including locations on the Bayou, at Grayton Beach and an adjoining Oyster Shanty, according to its own website. A check of the business's website (ajsdestin.com) on 2026-09-09 found the site live, listing its drinks specials, live-music events schedule, gift shop and links to the Destin Fishing Rodeo and the AJ's Tin Cup Classic tournament it sponsors. Google's business listing for AJ's Seafood & Oyster Bar, checked the same day, marked the location operational. No closure, relocation or ownership change has surfaced since the episode aired.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
