What happened after Man v. Food?
Man v. Food's Season 3 stop in the Des Moines area (aired 2010-10-06) featured Black Market Pizza, a pizzeria known for oversized specialty pies, including a bacon double cheeseburger pizza, according to Yelp. The restaurant operated at 2610 Northridge Parkway in Ames, Iowa, a college town in the Des Moines metro area near Iowa State University. According to a Yelp business listing updated 2026-05, Black Market Pizza is marked permanently closed at that address. A Google Places record checked 2026-09-08 returned a different Black Market Pizza location in Columbus, Nebraska, which is not connected to the Ames restaurant featured on the show.
No current website or social media account for the business could be located, consistent with the Yelp closure listing. The show's episode guide lists the segment under Des Moines, Iowa, but Ames sits about 30 miles north within the same metro area, and this write-up corrects the city accordingly.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
