What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
On 'Fresh Fish & Funky Chicken' (aired 2014-12-05), Guy Fieri sampled Mi Patria's Arroz Con Pollo, a mix of pulled chicken, rice, and vegetables served with fried ripe plantain, along with Hornado con Mote, slow-roasted pulled pork paired with white corn, rice, a potato patty, and ensalada criolla. Mi Patria is a family-run Ecuadorian restaurant in West Des Moines that has operated since 2011, according to DinersDriveInsDives.com. The restaurant's website has since moved to mipatriadsm.com, which displayed a 2026 copyright notice when checked on 2026-09-08; the previously listed domain, mipatriaecuador.com, did not respond on that date. Ecuadorian food publications and review sites, including a Yelp page last updated in June 2026, continue to list Mi Patria as an active West Des Moines restaurant.
