What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

On Tri-Continent Cuisine, which aired July 31, 2015, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Cafe Brazil, where Guy Fieri sampled xim xim, a dish combining chicken and shrimp in a peanut-and-coconut sauce, alongside rack of lamb with mango sauce and a seafood plate called Copacabana, according to Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The restaurant served Brazilian and Latin American cuisine from a Lowell Boulevard location in Denver's Berkeley neighborhood, where it had operated for about eighteen years after relocating from its original LoHi spot, according to CBS Colorado. Owner Tony Zarlenga announced on 2024-12-28 that "our lease will not be renewed as of January 1, 2025," according to CBS Colorado. CBS Colorado reported the restaurant closed on 2025-01-01 after more than thirty years in business, and Denver Westword separately reported on the closing after covering the restaurant's three-decade run.
