What happened after Food Paradise?
Caveman Kitchen built its menu around firewood-roasted rotisserie chicken finished with the restaurant's signature spicy aji sauce, served near the University of Southern California campus in the Exposition Park/Harvard Heights area of Los Angeles. The restaurant's own site, eatcaveman.com, describes serving the USC community for more than 17 years, with a menu built around whole and half chicken platters and Peruvian saltado dishes. According to Yelp, the restaurant's listing was updated in July 2026 with more than 700 reviews and no closure notice, and the business's site continues to list dine-in, delivery, and take-out service at the Vermont Avenue address.

We work hard to keep every status accurate and dated, but restaurants change fast and our sources aren't perfect. If something here is wrong — a status, a name, an address, anything — tell us what you're seeing and where you saw it, and we'll check it.
