What happened after Hotel Impossible?
Hotel Impossible sent consultant Anthony Melchiorri to the Curve Hotel in Palm Springs, California, for the episode The Curve (S2E8), aired February 11, 2013. Coverage of the episode describes a 150-room former budget motel being converted into a boutique property for two real-estate-investor owners, with a redesigned lobby and bar, a pool built around large rolling bumpers, and a marketing theme built around leaning into the curve. According to Reality TV Revisited, the Curve Hotel closed in 2015 after a 2014 lawsuit followed a guest's death from carbon monoxide poisoning, and the property was later sold and reopened under new ownership as V Palm Springs.
No further detail on that legal matter's resolution or the V Palm Springs period was found in the sources reviewed here. A check of the property's website on 2026-09-09 found a live site at thepalmspringshotel.com for a business called The Palm Springs Hotel, at 2135 N Palm Canyon Dr, the address associated with the original Curve Hotel listing. The site's copyright line and page text both reference 2026, and the homepage lists a reservations email, a phone number, and a booking function, along with a Kirkwood Collection navigation link suggesting affiliation with a small hotel group. The current site makes no mention of either the Curve Hotel or V Palm Springs names, and no additional 2026-dated source was found describing the ownership chain between the reported 2015 sale and the property's present branding.
