What happened after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited Sherman's Deli & Bakery in Palm Springs for the 'Turkey, Taters and Dogs' episode, aired 2017-05-12, spotlighting the deli's New York-style sandwiches and baked goods. Sherman's Deli & Bakery is a kosher delicatessen with two Southern California locations, in Palm Springs and Palm Desert, according to its Wikipedia entry, last revised 2026-07-11. According to the business's own website, shermansdeli.com, whose server was last modified on 2026-09-08, the Palm Springs location was temporarily closed for annual maintenance with a posted reopening date of September 18, while the Palm Desert location remained open with regular hours. The site also includes an active online ordering system. Google Places lists the Palm Springs location as an operating business at its East Tahquitz Canyon Way address, consistent with the temporary-maintenance explanation rather than a permanent closure.
