What happened after Food Paradise?
Food Paradise's 'Neighborhood Hangouts' episode featured Darryl's Corner Bar & Kitchen, a soul-food restaurant and live-entertainment venue in Boston's South End known for its jazz brunch and Southern menu under owner Nia Grace. Darryl's traced back to founder Darryl Settles, who sold the business to Grace in September 2018, according to Wikipedia (revised 2026-07-11). Boston Magazine reported on 2026-01-29 that Grace closed Darryl's and reopened the same Columbus Avenue space as Uptown Social, a Southern comfort-food and live-music concept. Grace described the change as "giving the neighborhood what it needs now and continuing what it started," according to the same article.
